SIL will be serving voters

Posted by servinginlove on October 31, 2008

Your Serving in Love team has borrowed 2 hot drink dispensing backpacks.  These are really cool!!

So we intend to move from polling place to polling place dispensing cups kindness as long as there are lines and we still have coffee and chocolate.

We want to thank the volunteers from Anderson University for coming to SIL and helping us pull this outreach together.  When you see them, add your thanks…(just like God’s love…it’s free)

See you at the polls……

KABOOM!!! A Playground in 1 Day

Posted by servinginlove on October 13, 2008

Your SIL Team worked with hundreds of other volunteers in the Kokomo area to build a KaBOOM playground at Waterworks Park this Saturday…that’s right…in one day (actually part of a day)…we put up a  complete playground.

Showing God’s Love in a  Practical Way!!!!

This playground will serve children in the Waterworks area

What is KaBOOM?  KaBOOM! is a national non-profit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.

Celebrating twelve years of service in 2008, they rally communities to achieve better public policy, funding and public awareness for increased play opportunities nationwide; provide resources, including trainings, challenge grants, and publications for communities that wish to plan a new playspace on their own; and bring together children, business and community interests for a select number of community playspace builds each year.

The Lord just keeps providing…..we have dozens of opportunities to keep showing God’s  Love in a Practical Way….call  us or email to get involved.
